The 2017 CIK-FIA World Championships were held at PF International, UK from 21-24th September.
The Junior category attracted over 90 entrants from more than 30 countries. Following an exciting series of races where Dexter took two heat wins and three 2nd place finishes, Dexter qualified in 3rd place on the grid for final.
Watched on by a record crowd, Dexter took an early lead before finding himself back in 4th place the following lap. Dexter managed to catch and pass the leading drivers, pulling a slight gap at the front.
He was then caught by his Forza team mate who remained close behind him for the remainder of the race.
Dexter delivered the fastest lap and defended his position to clinch the prestigious title and become the first ever Scottish CIK-FIA Junior World Champion.
