Formula Kart Stars 2015 Round 11 and 12: Glan Y Gors 5th and 6th September
The final two rounds of the FKS Championship were held at GYG in North Wales. Dexter got off to a good start in Round 5 on the Saturday taking pole in time qualifying and then securing a heat win and two 2nd place finishes. Starting on pole for the final, Dexter remained in the lead for the first few laps before being passed by Harry Thompson. Dexter stayed in 2nd position for a couple of laps and then retook the lead which he narrowly held on to until the chequered flag. Dexter now leads the championship by 15 points after dropped scored.
The final round on the Sunday saw Dexter qualify 1st once again and finish 2nd, 3rd and 2nd in the heats respectively. Dexter started the Final on P2 knowing that a top 5 finish was enough to secure him the Championship win. Harry Thompson took the lead straight away with Seog Martin in 2nd and Dexter in 3rd. Dexter caught Martin and the pair pushed up to the rear bumper of Thompson. There was a considerable gap to the pack behind after a couple of early race incidents, leaving the front 3 on their own. The leading pair changed places a couple of times mid race but Dexter remained in his 3rd place spot. Dexter crossed the finish line in 3rd, giving him enough points to win the overall Championship.
