Pre-race test day on Thursday 30th July was a generally dry day; however a few light rain showers made testing slightly more difficult. On Friday Dexter qualified 6th and took a 5th and 4th in the heats. Saturday, with another round of time qualifying and heats, Dexter qualified 12th though went on to win the first heat of that day. Dexter took the lead in the 2nd heat also, however his engine seized with 4 laps to go placing him second last in the results. Dexter started P9 for the Pre Final and despite a poor start worked his way back to a 4th place finish. This is where he then started the 15 minute Grand Prix Final. As expected, the race was a hard fought battle from the start. Dexter worked alongside his teammates Barnard, Bunce and Martland to push forward. However, Dexter lost places and eventually finished 10th. Taylor Barnard took the win and the prestigious GP Plate.
