West of Scotland Kart Club: 17th May 2015
The third round for the LGM Championship was held at West of Scotland Kart Club in Larkhall. With ever changing weather conditions, the weekend saw a mixture of sun, showers and heavy rain. An entry list of 43 competitors meant that drivers would compete in 3 out of the 6 heats on Sunday. Dexter finished in 2nd, 4th and 5th position in his heats placing him on P6 for the Final. As the Final was due to start, with half of the grid on slicks and the other half on wets, a decision was taken to allow all competitors to change to wets. With just a few minutes provided for the quick tyre change, the Final commenced along with the heavy rain. The front group of drivers, Edgar, Thompson, Dimitrov and Marlow, broke clear at the start of the race leaving Dexter chasing in 5th position, on his own for most of the race. As they front group starting to jostle for position, Dexter closed the gap and managed to get himself into 3rd position for the final lap. With just a few bends to go Dexter made the move on Edgar for 2nd place and finished the race just behind the winner, Thompson. The next round is at Whilton Mill Kart Club on 31st May.
