The fourth round for the LGM Championship took place at Whilton Mill Kart Club. The weather was changeable on race day making tyre choice and set up hard to call at times. Dexter achieved a heat win and two 2nd place finishes putting him on pole for the Final. He got off to a good start then, after a few laps, the lead was taken from him and he found himself in 3rd position. Part way through lap 7 Dexter moved in 2nd place directly behind Thompson who had now taken the lead.
The two drivers managed to get clear of the pack and pushed away together to secure a comfortable gap. They remained in this position until the penultimate lap where Dexter made a move for 1st place, however it didn’t pay off and he went into the final lap still behind Thompson. On the final lap Dexter tried the pass once again and this time it paid off securing him the win. With points for pole position and 1st place, Dexter moves to 2nd in the Championship Table.
