Dexter’s first ever OKJ race was at Shennington Kart Club on 20th November 2016. With randomly selected mixed grids, Dexter finished the heats in 10th and 4th placing him on P6 for the final. Some close racing in the first few laps saw Dexter battle for position while the front 3 pulled clear of the pack. Dexter moved into 4th on lap 8 and held pressure from behind to pull a small gap and finish the race in 4th.
