The 4th round of the Super One MSA British Cadet Championship was held at GYG in Wales on 27th/28th June. After a mixed weather practice day on Friday, Saturday brought sunshine and a dry track throughout. Dexter qualified 2nd which placed him alongside his teammate Finlay Bunce who was on pole for both heats. In Heat 1 Dexter got a good start and moved straight into the lead. He held on to this for a number of laps until he was caught and passed by Thompson who went on to win the race with Dexter finishing 2nd. In heat 2 Dexter took the lead once again with Bunce and Taylor Barnard closely behind him. Barnard fell away and Dexter and Bunce pushed clear of the pack. Dexter went on to win the race.
On Sunday the weather had changed again and the first final was on a wet track. Dexter was on pole for this Final however he lost the lead to Edgar early on. With a lack of pace, Dexter fell back to 6th and remained in this position until the chequered flag. For Final 2 the weather had dried up again. Dexter got to the front and pushed away with Joseph Taylor closely behind. However, they were caught by Edgar and Bunce and Dexter fell back to 4th. On the last lap Dexter made his move for 3rd place and finished the race in this position. Dexter is 2nd in the Championship, now 3 points behind the leader Edgar.
