Dexter started race day well, qualifying in pole position within a grid of 23 Mini Max drivers. This placed Dexter on P1 for the Pre Final, however contact at the first bend sent Dexter off the track, ultimately re-joining at the back of the pack. Undeterred, Dexter worked hard to make his way back through the grid and by lap 3 he was back up to 10th position. Continuing to push hard during the rest of the race, Dexter finished the race in 7th position which is where he then started the Final. A better start in this race allowed Dexter to quickly move through the pack, reaching 3rd position by lap 5. The rest of the race brought some close racing with a number of position changes and Dexter eventually crossed the line in 3rd place.
